This is the FGD FREE (and legal) software page where you will find the tools that will hopefully help make your Web projects flow that little bit smoother. This section of the FGD site came about because I was so frustrated that many programs (that I had spent ages to find) which were described as free, actually weren't. It wasn't until I had downloaded and installed them that I realised that they were only free to download -- not to use!

Some of these freeware programs are hosted on the FGD server; however, most are hosted elsewhere. Locally stored Programs have the link 'Download' and the rest have 'Visit'. I have tried to list the very best software available which is completely free for commercial and non-commercial use. These freeware programs do not have time restrictions, are fully functional and positively not shareware! They should all run on the DOS platform (MS-DOS compatible) and/or for use with Microsoft Windows versions designed for home or domestic use (including Windows 3.x, Windows 95 & 98, Windows ME, and Windows XP Home Edition).
All the freeware listed on this site I have chose because from personal experience and from linking reviews, that they are the top tools for getting the job done. I would like to be able to test each and every one of them thoroughly; but alas, I can not. I can not give you a personal guarantee that they are all of the utmost quality; therefore, I hope that after you have acquired and tested them that you will send me a fair assessment of how you found using them (for example their ease of use and efficiency).
